Lauren Gottlieb is Remo D’Souza’s Protégé

It is a well-known fact that fresh actors flourish more when they have a mentor backing them.

The new trend in Bollywood is that prominent producers and directors are identifying and backing fresh faces. Production houses such as Dharma and YRF are well known to nurture talents and now even actors such as Aamir Khan and Salman Khan have mentored young actors.

Remo D’souza, who has moved up the ladder as a director and producer, seems to have identified his protégé – Lauren Gottlieb. He spotted Lauren on American Dance Reality show, ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ and was intent on having her on board his film ‘ABCD AnyBody Can Dance’.

The audience reaction to Lauren was great and sources say that Lauren was always a part of Remo’s plans for ABCD 2.

                                                                                                                 

The actress considers Remo and his wife to be her mentors. Lauren says, “When I came to Mumbai, I did not know many people and Remo sir was the one who went out of his way to look out for me. Even today, whenever I face any problem or need to discuss something with someone, Remo sir and his Lizelle are always there for me.
